The National Guard Association of Indiana Foundation

The National Guard Association of Indiana (NGAI) and the National Guard Association of Indiana Foundation (NGAIF) are two independent, not-for-profit corporations, sharing common board officers and executive director, and operating as a fully integrated organization in support of the Indiana National Guard and its mission.

The focus and core competencies of NGAI and NGAIF are engagement and philanthropy in pursuit of complementary and closely aligned missions.

Why We Exist

The National Guard Association of Indiana Foundation (NGAIF) promotes the quality of life of the people of the Indiana National Guard by connecting with community partners, providing educational and leadership development, and supporting family benefits.

NGAIF, formed in 2016, set out to support the programs of NGAI through grants, fellowships and the award of benefits to members and families. The complementary mission of the foundation is to support, promote and advance the mission of NGAI by working in conjunction with leadership to identify strategic priorities, and by raising, managing and disbursing private gift funds that provide benefits in support of recruiting and retention.

NGAIF Foundation Goals

Support recruitment and retention by raising resources to fund benefits not otherwise offered by state or federal programs.

Educate Indiana National Guard members on availability and use of benefits to optimize family resilience and wellness.

Provide educational grants to qualifying Guardsmen and their dependents for secondary education.

Connect Guardsmen to community partners and organizations seeking talent for their business.

Sponsor leadership development for Indiana National Guard members to attend state and national professional development conferences.

Honor the service and sacrifice of Indiana National Guard members who have given their “last full measure of devotion” to our state and nation.
